The technological innovation in comparative genomics impacts the lives of the people in which scientists will do countless tests to determine the genomic features of different organisms. For example scientists in the Human Genome Project did tests on humans and other organisms by studying the similarities and differences. The scientists also identified what genes did what and what genes are crucial for life. Furthermore, in comparative genomics these are possible ethical, legal and social issues; a possible discrimination by employers or health insurers, the need for ethical standards for work with human research subjects or tissues, and the consideration of social, cultural and religious perspectives on genetics and health.
